Dr. Meet Dr. Tahsin Anwar

I am very excited to be joining the Oyster Point Smiles team! I grew up in northern Virginia and completed my undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech- Go Hokies! I was drawn to dentistry in college through many volunteer opportunities, both domestic and abroad, where I witnessed the tangible impact it had on others. I graduated dental school from Roseman University in South Jordan, UT, and completed an elective 1-year hospital-based residency at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA. My hospital residency allowed me to work with many unique populations and provide specialized care to those with medical, physical, and developmental complexities. I spent the last several years working in public health, utilizing my skills in serving underserved communities in SW Virginia.

I love all aspects of general dentistry and seeing my patients succeed. I enjoy learning new techniques and expanding my skill set to provide the best quality care for patients. I am a proud member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry member. Outside of dentistry, I enjoy spending time with my partner, traveling, yoga, cooking, hiking, and taking long walks with our husky, Mia.
